Dogs enjoy simple things.
Dogs love treats, toys and everything in between, but they also enjoy the simple things in life. An egg carton can be more fun to play, the papers you are trashing… try to wrinkle a paper and throw it to your dog! He will chase that paper ball. My dog enjoyed so much to roll and play with the papers on the floor that I was getting rid of, even laying down on that pile… Or what about the leaves falling from the trees? Enjoy simple things in life. Sometimes feeling the sun on your face is better than a fancy dinner at a fancy restaurant!
Dogs love people for what they are.
Dogs know who you are! They can feel it and smell it, they don't care if you are rich, poor, or how you look like, they just love you for who you are, your soul, your feelings and for being you! We can learn from dogs to look beneath the surface and to not judge people by our differences and looks, but by our kindness.
Nope. I don't think we can learn to bark. I tried it! But my dog looked at me with a question mark on her face. As much as I wanted to bark… I couldn't. But at least I have a good idea of what my dog wants when she barks! And I love her barking so much… that I recorded it with my phone.
What about you? What is the most important lesson you can learn from your dog?
