When the seat cover from 4Knine package arrived late one recent summer afternoon I was very hot, very tired, very hungry, and maybe a little very grumpy. My big pups were so muddy they looked like terra cotta warrior dogs, and saturated with dripping, smelly swamp water that pooled on my second hand truck’s nice leather seated. Everything (that would be the dogs and back seat) needed cleaning. But everything.
To postpone that joy, I opened the box but was too pooped to put the seat covers on the back seats. Besides, the covers would probably be another disappointment, like the previous covers from an unnamed competitor, and lasted (being generous here) about a month. After letting my mud ball dogs out of the truck, I spread the cover on the back seat just to see it. I’m too tired to do more, and putting the covers on could be complicated. First thing noticed - no plasticky chemical smell. No smell at all. Hmmm… curious. The packaged cover opened easily, no engineering degree required. The straps that went behind the back seats’ head rests were ******-easy to adjust to the needed snugness, so I did that. I lifted one seat section to upright and the cover’s fabric envelop fit miraculously well over it, anchoring the seat cover snuggled in place. I did the same with the other seat - with the same result!!! (Well I’ll be…. That was… that was real easy.)
I whistled my 80 pound mud ball over and he shot onto the now covered seat. The cover didn’t budge. No shifting sideways, no sliding forward, no dog pathetically slithering across slick fabric into the opposite door. And ohmygosh - the seats can be lifted independently of the other with the seat cover in place. That’s something I really needed, too! Hmmm… this might be worth a ‘wow’. Maybe.
Now it’s about 10 days post installation and the 4Knines cover still looks pretty good, and so do my protected leather seats. Dirt and debris haven't worked through the fabric into the leather seats and the cover can be cleaned up tidy with a whisk broom. Plus, the cover’s fabric isn’t showing ANY signs of wear - and man, those dogs are hard on those covers too. This 4Knines thing might work after all.
So, this cynic’s final thoughts on the 4Knine Multi Function Crew Cab Truck seat cover I think I’m in love…..
