What Animal Is in My Attic?

In your house, do you hear things that go bump in the night? Have you heard footsteps or scratching in your walls? Are you hearing strange noises coming from your attic? Do your dogs or pets whimper and scratch at your walls?

What Animal Is in My Attic? If you answered "yes" to the above questions, the chances are pretty high that you may have uninvited guests. As we hear these sounds and thumps, visions of intruders, spectral orbs, and moving shadows might run to the front of our imaginations. As the sounds continue, we might find ourselves contemplating how to get in touch with some real life "ghostbusters." Thankfully, what we are encountering isn't supernatural and our houses aren't haunted.

The bad news, however, is that we may have some animals squatting in our attics.

It should come as little surprise that wild animals would try to move into our homes. After all, they are just trying to find shelter and a safe place to raise their woodland families. Sometimes animals are attracted to food sources like pet food or they just can't resist jumping that tree branch to our porch eaves where they discovered a loose vent. Unfortunately, once they start living in our attics this cohabitation puts all of us at risk- even the critters. Wild animals often seek shelter in our attics, garages, and basements, but their desire to nest can cause a lot of damage and safety issues. Their feces and waste can ruin insulation, air quality, and even introduce disease into the houses. Rodents, especially, like to chew on electrical wiring which can cause major issues or fire hazards. Often, skunks will take up residence in basements, under homes, and even in window wells which can lead to a smelly situation. If those reasons aren't enough for concern, we need to consider that wild animals can carry parasites like fleas or terrible diseases like rabies into our homes.

Having wildlife movie into our homes, whether invited or not, can put our four legged family members at risk.

Our fur babies often can hear and smell our "guests" before we even know there is a problem. This can lead to scratching, pawing, and barking at all hours. Besides interrupted sleep, our animals have a tendency to want to catch or kill the wild animals invading their home. This natural instinct makes it more than likely our pups or cats will encounter the wildlife which will ensue in a fight, wound, spraying, or exposure to disease. As pet owners, wild animals pose a unique threat to our family and we owe it to our pets to keep them safe. Rear Bench Seat Cover

I have purchased several seat covers from area pet stores and have returned them. I love the one I got from 4Knines because it was easy to install, it's shaped just like the bench seat in my car, its nice looking and it doesn't slide around. I have a large dog and a medium sized dog and the cover stays put! Thanks, 4Knines!

Seat cover

We have 2 big dogs and an hour and a half trip to the lake house. The lab sheds black hair everywhere on the tan leather, the Goldendoodle but he has long nails and left little holes in the seat of the car I had before. Got the new car and immediately ordered your cover, it came in quickly, was easy to install and saved the new car lots of damage. Love it! Recommend it highly!

Very well made

Recently purchased the waterproof bed liner. Very happy with the quality workmanship and that the material is soft and doesn‰Ûªt make noise when shifting positions.
