Everything You Need to Know About K-Laser Therapy for Your Dog

By DrBabetteGladstein. | Dog Health

Are you searching for a non-invasive, pain-free way to help your pet? Laser therapy may be the solution you’ve been looking for.

K-Laser therapy is an effective, pain-free option that starts working instantly, triggering the body’s natural healing mechanisms, without drugs or surgery.

During treatment, patients feel a warm sensation, but no pain, so restraints and sedation aren’t required. In fact, the treatments are relaxing for most pets, and many enjoy naps. And there are over a hundred clinical studies documenting the safety and effectiveness of laser therapy treatments.

K-Laser treatments can alleviate pain, reduce inflammation, and promote tissue growth. And with the help of the K-Laser’s potent regenerative properties, your pet can benefit from a shorter recovery time, a greater range of joint motion, reduced muscle spasms, and improved general health.

In 1967 scientists discovered that lasers promote cellular activity in living tissues. That’s called a bio-stimulative effect, meaning laser light can stimulate cells to grow and heal, boosting rates of cellular reproduction, and nutrient transport rates within tissue fibers and cell membranes.

The K-Laser is a high-energy therapeutic laser that delivers a potent bio-stimulative effect, safely and painlessly to stressed or damaged tissue. It’s ideal for quickly and efficiently treating a wide range of common ailments that may trouble your pet.

Here are some common conditions K-Laser Therapy can treat:

Osteoarthritis
Tendinopathies
Ligament Sprains
Post Traumatic Injury
Neck and Back Pain
Burns
Rehabilitation
Joint Pain
Edema and Congestion
Puncture Wounds
Post-Surgical Pain
Hip Dysplasia
Chronic Wounds
Post-Orthopedic Surgical Recovery

There are few Vets to own a K-Laser Class IV Therapy Laser. Not all Lasers are the same. The Class IV Laser is 16 times more powerful than it’s predecessor, and can penetrate tissue to a depth of 4 centimeters. Speak to your Vet to find out if K-Laser a good fit for your pet’s unique health issues.

During your consultation, the doctor will determine the number of treatments needed, based on your pet’s unique health concerns, along with their frequency and duration. Pain relief is common after one session, but several are often needed to achieve a maximum therapeutic effect. Most sessions are between two and eight minutes long.

Puppy misadventure

My 8 month old lab puppy ate something and it required a trip to the vet. They administered peroxide to induce vomiting. He seemed unaffected by the entire experience and after waiting 45 minutes with no results, we were sent home. Naturally, he threw up in the car on the way home. I had recently bought the split rear seat cover. It saved the back seat of my car and cleaned up beautifully. I can only imagine how the cloth seat would have absorbed the odor and stain without the protection of the seat cover. Buying your seat cover was the smartest decision I've made. Love the hammock option.

XL rear seat hammock cover

I own a 2015 Toyota Tundra CrewMax. I was concerned that the XL seat cover wouldn't be big enough for our pups. However, after installing it easily, our pups took to it immediately! Ellie loved the hammock part that comes off the seat a little and slept in it on one of our most recent road trips.

Perfect Fit!

We had fallen back to just putting a sheet over our seats as our Bernese Mountain Dog and our cars never found a perfect match with any of the seat covers we tried until this front seat cover. We immediately put in an order for the backseat cover from 4Knines to give our BMD more room.
