Rescue Ridge is a “last chance” rescue. Staffed 100% through the efforts and donations of volunteers, they find homes for animals that other shelters and people have given up on.
Through kindness of various boarding and foster families, rescued animals are cared for until they find that fur ever home and family to love them.
Rescue Ridge, a Non-Profit, No-Kill organization established in 2001, began by rescuing healthy, beautiful, animals that were slated to be euthanized through no fault of their own. RR felt it was unfair, that because their ‘humans’ had no more use for them, their days were numbered. They have tried to give each & every one of these companions a new lease on life as they rescue dogs, cats, horses, and any other animal that they are able to help with limited resources. Since they have limited space, RR is always searching for those willing to help foster these wonderful creatures and they are always happy to provide information on options available to anyone needing to re-home their pet for whatever reason. It is Rescue Ridge’s belief that education regarding pet ownership and its responsibilities is the best hope these companions have. Completed with unending rewards once a second chance is given to one of these wonderful friends -They truly are the champions of giving unconditional love.
The Dream… Rescue Ridge Safe-Haven
The journey starts with a single step on a brick path, guided by a helping hand, leading to a forever home…
You can help this dream being achieved by purchasing a brick for $25 in honor of the pets in your life, past or present.
RR is raising funds to purchase a facility that will become the Rescue Ridge Safe-Haven, a no-kill animal shelter at the Jersey Shore.
ADVOCATE, EDUCATE, PROMOTE & LOVE
Along with the donations to help build a Safe-Haven, there are many other ways to help RR. You can donate a bed, Sponsor a Pet Program, Save a Senior pet whereas the money that is raised helps pull senior dogs from shelters where they are at risk, and enables us to re-home dogs whose families can no longer care for them. In addition to monetary and Wish List items, there is also a “Baby” Registry on Amazon for the puppies and kittens.
As with all nonprofits, Rescue Ridge relies on the kindness of volunteers and the generosity of donors. Each month, 4Knines selects a worthy organization to “SPOTLIGHT,” and we hope you will join us in supporting Rescue Ridge with your donation. There are many other ways to help including volunteering, sponsorship and fostering. If you want to learn more about Rescue Ridge in Spring Lake, NJ, please visit Facebook and Website.
