How YOU Can Help Prevent Animal Cruelty #ASPCA #BeTheVoice

Animal Cruelty? Be the Voice of Your Pet DogHas there ever been a time where you have been walking down the road or maybe even driving… and you spot someone who happened to hit their dog right at the second you looked over? Or maybe what you came across was a vehicle with a pet locked inside in the middle of a hot summer day?

What about that neighbor who you have realized is mistreating their pet? I have one question – What did you do about it?

April Is Prevention of Cruelty to Animals Month

I asked a question above – in any of those scenarios or something close to itwhat did you do about it? If your answer to that question was “nothing.” Don’t feel bad. You are just one of thousands of other people who avoid confrontation at any cost. One of thousands of people who may have simply been too scared to do anything about it. And I am not being sarcastic, there are tons of people out there suffering from things like anxiety, which prevents them from ‘putting themselves out there’, or ever making a scene. Whether or not that scene may have been to help or even save an animal’s life.

What Does Prevention of Cruelty to Animals Even Mean?

Simple. Animals do not have a voice. They cannot tell us when something isn’t right. They cannot tell us when their owner is treating them badly, they cannot tell humans to stop harming them – but you know who can? WE CAN!

Animal Cruelty? Be the Voice of Your Pet Dog (Orange Ribbon Sign)People – if you cannot speak up, if you cannot bring yourself to stop a situation or step in and help in a situation where an animal is being harmed, please PLEASE go and tell someone who can. If you cannot be their voice, please let someone know, so that they can help in whatever way possible. It’s time for us to stand up. It’s time for us to stop turning our heads, and stop driving by acting like we didn’t see a thing. Animals don’t have a voice, but we do! Be their voice.

This month, wear orange to support Prevention of Cruelty to Animals with the ASPCA. But don’t stop there. April may be the month of awareness, but animal cruelty happens every single day, 365 days a year. Don’t ignore it. And lets do our part to help raise awareness year long.

How about you?
